Spousal Job Search Assistance
The loss of employment affects not only the employee, but his/her family. When a job elimination occurs, it is often necessary for the spouse to re-enter the work world or consider self-employment as a means to provide additional income to the family. We can meet with the spouse, develop their resume, and assist in networking. In the case of self-employment, we can meet with the spouse and the participant to offer advice, market information, and, if appropriate, assist in identifying funding and develop a business plan. In some cases, the spouses’ career is obsolete. We offer various assessments and can conduct in-depth discussions to identify skills and interests applicable to other careers.
We work together with companies to develop Spousal Job Search Assistance services that work well with their Outplacement Programs.
